Event Details
The Presque Isle Sprint Triathlon takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania. The entire event occurs at Beach 10, where all three segments start, transition, and finish. The park is a National Natural Landmark.
The sprint triathlon course includes a swim in Lake Erie, a bike ride around the full peninsula, and a run on a portion of the paved trail. The course design offers a nearly complete tour of the park.
Two event formats are offered:
- INDIVIDUAL Sprint Triathlon
- RELAY Sprint Triathlon
Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. A photo ID is required, and each athlete must pick up their own packet. On race day, all athletes must check in at Beach 10; no day-of registrations are accepted. A mandatory pre-race meeting is held before the start.
Timing services are provided. Awards are given for the top three places in individual categories and the top two places for relay teams. All entrants receive a custom long-sleeve T-shirt, a swim cap, and post-race food and beverages. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
