Presque Isle Half Marathon
The Presque Isle Half Marathon takes place at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania. This event features a single distance:
- 13.1 miles
The course is set along the shores of Lake Erie and is subject to a 3 hour time limit. Participants are required to maintain a minimum pace of 14 minutes per mile. If this pace is not maintained, runners will be directed to the all-purpose trail adjacent to the course to allow for road reopening. Park rangers may also request runners move to the trail sooner depending on specific race day conditions.
Participants receive a triblend short-sleeve shirt, a finisher's medal, and post-race refreshments. Registration is conducted exclusively online, as there is no registration available at the park or on the day of the race. Unclaimed shirts are made available for sale after the event concludes.
Packet pickup is organized at two different locations and times. On the Saturday before the event, packets can be collected at Cabin 3. On the morning of the race, pickup is available at the Beach 1 pavilion, which also serves as the location for the start and finish lines. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, the first overall masters winners, and the top finishers in five-year age groups. Awards must be collected in person as they are not mailed after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
