Event overview
Poynton Village 10k is a chip-timed mixed-terrain race held on Sunday 8 March 2026. The route runs through and around the village of Poynton and along surrounding countryside trails. The race starts and finishes on Park Lane, which will be closed for the event. Race HQ is at Poynton Civic Centre, Park Lane, SK12 1RB.
Entries and fees
Entry is open for ages 16 to 89 on the race date. The entry fee is £23.00 plus an admin charge of £1.50; UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount on validation. The event has an entry limit of 800 and there will be no entries on the day. Entries for this event close on Saturday 7 March 2026. Race number pick up is on the day at Race HQ. Registration on the morning of the event is specified to open at 08:00 and close at 09:15.
Course, timing and other details
There is no official course cut-off time, but the organiser asks participants to notify them in advance if they expect to take longer than 1 hour 45 minutes so finishing arrangements can be made after Park Lane reopens. The event provides optional bespoke medals, snacks and water at the finish. Prizes are awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers, age-group winners in five-year bands from age 40, and team prizes (male and female, three to count).
