Powder Springs Hometown Run 5K
The Powder Springs Hometown Run 5K is the inaugural Hometown Run event in Powder Springs, Georgia, held on October 31, 2026, at 3899 Brownsville Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127, USA. The event includes in-person and virtual 5K options and positions itself as a community-focused race celebrating local schools, families, businesses, and neighborhoods.
Finishers receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal created for the inaugural event. Participants who register by October 10 are guaranteed a shirt and may select shirt color while sizes remain available.
Award categories include overall male and female, age-group awards for males and females (Top 3 in 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), a Team Champion based on lowest average time (minimum team size 4), a Legacy Award for best parent-child duo, and school-based awards for School Spirit Cup and Fastest School Team under the event's published scoring format.

- Founders registration: 200 spots, fee $29, open August 25, 2026 to September 1, 2026; once sold out, regular registration becomes available.
- Regular in-person registration: fee $35, open September 20, 2026 to September 30, 2026.
- Child entry: fee $25, open August 25, 2026 to October 30, 2026.
- Virtual run: fee $30, open August 25, 2026 to September 30, 2026.
