POW! to Cancer 5K Run for a Cure
The event is the fourth annual POW! to Cancer 5K Run/Walk for a Cure, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Community Park, 120 E. Oak Street, Addison, Illinois. The event offers a 5K course of 3.1 Miles and includes both running and walking participants.
Registration requires a fee of $35.00 and the organizer will donate $5 from each race registration to the American Cancer Society. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes June 1, 2026.
All participants receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medal upon completion of the 5K. Live results will be provided by RACETIME. A post-race celebration and awards ceremony will follow, with overall female and male winners recognized. First through third place plates for the back of the medal will be awarded to male and female finishers in the following age categories: 10 & Under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; 90+.
Walkers are welcome to participate for a variety of reasons, including walking in memory of someone, walking as a survivor, walking as a family, or forming a team to walk together.
