Pottsville Beach Triathlon
The Pottsville Beach Triathlon is a coastal swim, bike and run race weekend held in Pottsville on the Tweed Coast. The event offers multiple race formats across two days, featuring fast, flat courses and open-water swims in salt water. It includes both individual and team relay options, plus a non-competitive First-Timers wave for some longer-distance events where flippers are permitted in that category only.
The program includes championship and qualifying status for selected races: the Sprint Duathlon and Sprint Aquathlon serve as Australian Championships, and the Long Course Aquabike is a 2027 World Triathlon Age Group Championships qualifying event for long course age group athletes.
Race options and distances include:
- Long Course Tri: Swim 1900m, Cycle 90km, Run 21.1km
- Olympic Tri: Swim 1500m, Cycle 44km, Run 10km
- Sprint Tri: Swim 750m, Cycle 22km, Run 5km
- Tempta Tri: Swim 300m, Cycle 10km, Run 2.5km
- Community Swim: 1000m and 500m
- Adventure Run: 10km and 5km
- Junior and kids races with shorter swim, ride and run distances
