Pottsville Beach Triathlon
The Pottsville Beach Triathlon is a two-day multi-event race weekend held in the Tweed Coast beach town of Pottsville Beach on 24 and 25 October 2026. The event features swim, bike and run races across several formats and notes courses described as fast and flat in a coastal setting. The program includes national-level sprint championships and a qualifying event for the 2027 World Triathlon Age Group Championships.
The event offers a first-timers option for Long Course and Olympic distances with a non-competitive First Timers wave; flippers are permitted only in that category. Team entries are available in Relay and All In Team formats. The event also supports community activities and a first-timers community for training and peer support.
Race distances and formats include:
- Long Course Tri: Swim 1900m, Cycle 90km, Run 21.1km
- Olympic Tri: Swim 1500m, Cycle 44km, Run 10km
- Sprint Tri: Swim 750m, Cycle 22km, Run 5km
- Tempta Tri: Swim 300m, Cycle 10km, Run 2.5km
- Aquabike: Olympic and Sprint distances
- Community Swim: 1000m and 500m
- Adventure Run: 10km and 5km
- Junior and kids categories with short swim, cycle and run distances
