Event overview
The Pottstown Polar Run takes place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The event is presented by the Manatawny Athletic Club and co-hosted with the Borough of Pottstown Parks and Recreation. It is held in conjunction with the 16th Annual Polar Plunge hosted by Pottstown Parks & Recreation.
Race details
The event offers multiple race options and a new triathlon and duathlon format. Distances offered include:

- 2.26 mile Run/Walk
The new triathlon and duathlon combine three legs: participation in the Polar Plunge, eating one hot dog with sauerkraut, and running the Pottstown Polar Run 5k (the 5k distance must be completed). All participants receive a medal and are eligible for age-group awards and a participant gift. Triathlon and duathlon entrants receive an additional bib for the eating portion with the event logo and year of participation.
Entry fees listed on the event page are $30 for the 5k and 2.26 mile events, and $35 for the triathlon and duathlon. Prices increase after December 28, 2025, and registration for the triathlon and duathlon closes on December 28, 2025. The event location is 140 College Drive, Pottstown, PA 19464.
