Event Overview
The Potters House 5k & Fun Run is the fourth annual event celebrating the legacy of Steve Proffitt. It is a community run and walk raising funds for Potter’s House, a local coffee shop and faith-based ministry for students that has operated since 1999. The event theme is "Give Love Back to the Potter’s House."

The event offers several participation options:
- 5k Run/Walk - General registration.
- 5K Run/Walk College Student Group - A special rate for student groups.
- Free Kids 10&U 5k - A free event for children ten and under, which does not include a race shirt.
- Virtual Run/Walk - An option to participate remotely.
Event Details
The in-person event takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 724 S National Ave in Springfield, Missouri. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, April 10, at The Studio next to Potter’s House, with an option for Saturday morning pickup. Participants who pick up their packets on Friday receive a discount on a menu item.
A race shirt is guaranteed for those who register by March 27, 2026. Dogs on leashes and strollers are permitted; participants with either are asked to start towards the back of the corral. The use of most headphones is not allowed, with an exception for open-air bone conduction designs.
Parking is available in Missouri State University Lots 22 and 24, with limited reserved accessible parking in the Bear Chapel lot. An awards ceremony and after-party with free donuts and coffee will be held following the race. Prizes of Potter's House swag and coffee gift certificates are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories, from 14 & under to 50+. Virtual participants will have their packets mailed after the event.
