Portugal Day Races
The Portugal Day Races take place in Newark, New Jersey on June 14, 2026. The event is centered on 82 Ferry Street in the Ironbound neighborhood and includes races for adults and children.

Registration for the Jack Casimiro 5K and the Parente Mile opens on 2026-02-15 and closes on 2026-06-12. Registration fees listed are $25.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the Mile. The Cravo Kid Dash is free and does not require pre-registration; children may sign up on race day. Participants may register for both the 5K and the Mile. All 5K registrants receive a race shirt while supplies last.
Awards for the Jack Casimiro 5K include cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female ($150, $100, $75) and awards for the top three in standard age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus. The event also presents the Domingos Cravo Award to the oldest and youngest finishers. The Parente Mile awards overall top three and issues finisher medals to participants. The Cravo Kid Dash provides finisher medals to all child participants.
There is no designated parking lot; nearby street parking should be used with attention to posted signage. Restrooms will be available across the street at Sport Clube Portuguese. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
