Portland Parks 5K Fun Run Series

Portland Parks & Recreation organizes an annual 5K Fun Run Series held monthly from May through August at parks across Portland. The 2026 series includes events at Laurelhurst Park, Lents Park, Pier Park, and Gabriel Park on specific dates in May, June, July, and August.

Registration requires a $5 fee for participants aged 18 and older; participants younger than 18 run for free. Pre registration is strongly encouraged, and walk up registrations are accepted on the day of the run for cash only.

Event features noted for race day include a sports clock for participant timing and a ribbon for every finisher. The program also offers a Kids Fun Run of 1K or 2K for children 8 years old and younger. Additional on site activities can include music, kids activities, raffle prizes, and vendors.
