Portland Parks 5K - Lents Park
Portland Parks & Recreation holds a monthly 5K Fun Run series from May through August at parks across the city. The Lents Park event is scheduled for June 14 as part of the 5K Fun Run Series.
The event format includes the main 5K and a separate kids fun run for young children. Distances offered:
- 5K
- Kids 1K or 2K for children 8 years old and younger
Registration is fee based for adults and free for minors: there is a $5 registration fee for participants aged 18 and older, and participants younger than 18 run for free. Organizers encourage pre-registration and also accept walk-up registrations on the day of the run; walk-up registration is cash only.
On race day, participants may time themselves using a sports clock, and every finisher receives a ribbon. The event program includes music, children's activities, raffle prizes, and vendors.
