Event Overview

The Portland - Head for the Cure 5K is a run/walk event taking place on July 26, 2026. The start and finish area is the Downtown Waterfront on SW Naito Parkway in Portland, Oregon. This is the event's second annual edition.

Schedule and Activities

The 5K race begins at 9:00 AM. A Kids Fun Run 100 Meter dash starts at 8:45 AM. Packet pickup is available on race day starting at 8:00 AM. Following the race, there will be a photo for brain tumor survivors and special recognitions for caregivers, survivors, and others.

Purpose and Beneficiaries

The event raises funds for brain cancer awareness, research, and patient programs. Funds raised locally benefit OHSU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Knight Cancer Institute, the Providence Brain and Spine Institute, and the Path to Hope program, as well as other national initiatives.
