Port to Park
Port to Park is Gladstone Ports Corporation’s community fun run held in the GPC parklands on Sunday 16 August 2026. The event showcases three waterfront parkland areas: East Shores, Gladstone Marina Parklands and Spinnaker Park. It supports local schools and community groups.
There are three race options:
- 10 km Koongo Dash
- 5 km Koommonka Sprint
- 3 km Yallarm Family Run
The race names recognise the language of the Traditional Owners of the land. Koongo means place of water, Koommonka means Possum and Yallarm means place of shells.
Race packs are collected from the Port to Park Race Office and include a disposable timing bib and a complimentary race t-shirt. Participants must present their e-ticket and/or valid photo identification to collect a race pack. Limited collection is available on the event day.
Event logistics note free shuttle buses operating from Gladstone Showgrounds and William Street to Flinders Parade. Parking is also available at alternate locations. Access restrictions and road closures will apply on the day, and the Matthew Flinders Bridge will be closed to marine and vehicular traffic during the event.
Events are timed with an electronic chip timing system and winners are determined by line honours. Children must be registered and supervised. Strollers are permitted; bicycles, scooters and pets are not permitted except for guide, hearing or assistance dogs. Entry is via online registration and fees are non refundable.
