About the race
Run Gladstone is the inaugural city running event in Gladstone, Queensland, held on Sunday 10 October 2027. The event offers four distances that run through the Gladstone CBD and harbour precincts, including East Shores, the marina and Auckland Hill. The half marathon is organised as a two-lap harbour-city course.
The event materials note race-pack collection, course support and an event guide for participants. Registration opened on 20 October 2026 and the first 2,000 early entries receive the event T‑shirt subject to size availability. Every finisher receives an official Run Gladstone medal.
The four event distances are:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon across two laps
- 10 km CBD, marina, East Shores and Auckland Hill
- 5 km City course with harbour-side scenery
- 2 km Short course for families and new runners
Local partners and sponsors are listed for each distance and for the overall event, and the organisers provide information on race logistics, course maps and prizes. The event is described as a community-focused day that brings together young runners, families, first-timers and more experienced participants, with opportunities to spend time in Gladstone before or after racing.
