Port Royal Mile - Port Royal, SC
The Port Royal Mile is a one-mile certified course (SC26008JK) held in Port Royal on Paris Avenue near Town Hall (Paris Avenue and 8th Street). The event date is September 12, 2026. All runners will run together in a single race that includes a family fun run and chip-timed competitive fields.
The competitive portion is chip timed with official results and age-group awards. Awards include medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age category and overall fastest male and female honors; overall winners receive a gift certificate from Ground Running. Age groups range from 10 and under through 70 and over.
Registration opens April 15, 2026 and closes September 10, 2026. Registration fees vary by age, with a reduced youth rate listed for younger participants. Race shirts are provided only to participants who register by August 14 at midnight; no extra shirts will be available on race day.
Packet pick-up is available the Friday before the race at Grounded Running, 2139 Boundary St Unit 108, Beaufort, SC, and on race day at the start/finish on Paris Avenue and 8th Street. Bathrooms will be available at the start/finish line. No refunds or transfers are offered; the event is held rain or shine and fees may be treated as a donation if the race is canceled for safety reasons.
Volunteer roles include course setup, packet handling, and post-race support; volunteers receive a complimentary event shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
