Port Aransas Turkey Trot 10K and community events
The Port Aransas Turkey Trot is an outdoor running and walking event held at Cinnamon Shores in Port Aransas, TX on November 25, 2026. All proceeds will support programs and provide scholarships for Trinity by the Sea Episcopal Day School, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit and the only day school in Port Aransas. The event takes place rain or shine.
Distances offered include:
- 10K run
- 5K run/walk
- 2K walk
- 1K kids fun run
- Tot Trot for children
The 10K route follows the 5K course at the start, then continues farther onto the beach and throughout Cinnamon Shores; it is not a second lap of the 5K. Race day registration is available at Cinnamon Shores and carries a $15 fee increase. The first 400 registrants receive a swag bag and race shirt. 5K, 10K, and 2K participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Tot Trot participants aged 0 to 5 are free; Tot Trot and 1K shirts can be purchased for $20, subject to availability.
Awards for the 5K and 10K include overall male and female places and top three male and female in age groups 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99. The event also features food trucks, inflatables, music, lawn games, a vendor village, and family activities. A packet pickup party is scheduled the evening before the race.
