About the race
The Port Aransas Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving coastal running event held in Port Aransas. The event features seaside courses, pre-race activities, a vendor village, and family-friendly races. For 2026 the event location is Cinnamon Shore South. Proceeds support Trinity by the Sea Episcopal Day School, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the only day school in Port Aransas; funds help sustain programs and provide scholarships for local families.
Multiple distances are offered:
- Tot Trot : free; two age categories 0-3 and 3-5; t-shirt available for purchase.
- 1K Kids Fun Run : ages 5+; early and day-of pricing; t-shirt optional.
- 2K Walk / Run : includes t-shirt, finisher medal, and swag bag.
- 5K Walk / Run : timed; includes t-shirt, finisher medal, and swag bag.
- 10K Run : timed; includes t-shirt, finisher medal, and swag bag.
The 5K and 10K have overall awards for male and female finishers and age-group awards for top three male and female finishers in these groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99.
