Pony Express Trail Run
The Pony Express Trail Run offers two ultramarathon distances on the historic Pony Express Trail in western Utah. The event uses remote dirt roads with roughly 3,000 feet of total elevation gain and loss. Runners must be accompanied by a support crew to provide food and water along the route.

- 100 miles
- 50 miles
Both races start at Lookout Campground west of Faust, UT. The 100-mile course runs 58.5 miles out to Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge, then returns to finish at Simpson Springs Corral. The 50-mile course heads the same direction and finishes at the Blackrock Pony Express station site.
The course is remote but follows dirt roads that are generally in good condition when driven at moderate speeds. Map navigation is required, and signage is posted at major intersections; the general direction is west. Crews are required and may be shared between runners.
