Pomona Sprint Triathlon - Manvel, TX
The Pomona Sprint Triathlon takes place on June 14, 2026 at the lake in front of the Pomona Subdivision in Manvel, Texas, with the finish area at the Grove, 4214 Croix Parkway. This is the fourth annual edition and includes multiple event options across individual and relay categories.
The event program lists the following race options: Pomona Sprint Triathlon, Pomona Sprint Duathlon, Pomona Sprint Aquabike, youth and military divisions, Athena and Clydesdale categories, and all-male, all-ladies, and mixed sprint relays.
Distances for the primary sprint format are:
- 500 m lake swim
- 12.5 mi bike course, now a one loop route
- 3 mi run through the Pomona neighborhood ending at the Grove
Duathlon athletes replace the swim with a 0.5 mi run. Parking information and packet pick up locations and times are to be announced. The event is chip timed with splits and transitions; chips are distributed at packet pick up on a black foam strip and must be returned after the event.
This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event and requires a USAT membership. Membership options listed include a $10 annual youth membership, a $15 one day adult membership, and a $50 annual adult membership. Awards include medals for overall and masters top finishers, top three in age groups and relays, plus category medals for Athena and Clydesdale divisions. All athletes receive a shirt and a finisher medal. The event is held rain or shine; segments may be modified for safety and entries moved if the date is changed.
