Poloniada 5K Run & Walk 2026
Poloniada is a Polish themed sports festival and picnic held on June 21, 2026, at Busse Woods, Arlington Heights Road and Higgins Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The day includes a chip-timed 5K run and walk on a course described as fast. Participants receive a performance event shirt and a finisher medal; these items are not guaranteed for registrations after June 15.
The festival continues after the 5K with a family picnic offering food, drinks and live music. Children's activities listed for the picnic include bouncy castles, horseback rides and an exotic animal show. Separate free obstacle races are offered for children ages 3 to 15; each child in those races receives a finisher medal.
Additional adult sporting events are scheduled to test endurance and strength. A virtual 5K option is also available. The event provides computerized timing and awards presented during the picnic.
