Polish Steeple Chase 5.2 Miler
The event is a noncompetitive 5.2 mile fun run walk ride between the steeples of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Paplin and St. Francis Church in Ashton. The course runs primarily on gravel roads and includes plenty of hills. The route finishes in Ashton and transportation will be provided from Ashton to the start in Paplin.
The event coincides with the Ashton Days celebration. Registration opens 2026-05-16 and closes 2026-06-20. There are two entry categories with published fees: a regular 5.2 Miler for participants aged 13 and older with a $30 fee, and a Kids Run for those 12 and under with a $20 fee. With registration, participants receive a t-shirt, water, and snacks. Entry fees and free will donations will be given back to the two churches.
If there is inclement weather, organizers will send a text and post information on The Ashton Community Club Facebook page.
