Kosse Greyhound Run-Walk : Kosse, Texas
The event is the 20th annual Kosse Greyhound Run-Walk held on June 12, 2027 at Kosse City Park, 101 E. Adams, Kosse, TX 76653. The program includes two distances:
- 5K chip-timed on a USTAF certified course
- 1 Mile untimed fun run
The 5K is held on paved country roads lined by trees and pasture land. The 5K uses chip timing managed by a professional race timing company. The one mile event is organized as a for-fun, untimed run.
The event benefits projects of the Kosse Community Center, a 501(c)(3) charity, and the Kosse City Park. Open registration dates are January 2, 2027 through May 22, 2027. Standard registration fee is $22.00. Race-day entry fees and packet pick-up are available at the race site for an additional fee; race-day payments are cash or check only.
T-shirts are guaranteed to registrations received by May 22, 2026; limited quantities may be available after that date. Awards are given overall male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are: 10 & Under; 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 & Over.
