Kosse Greyhound Run-Walk
The 19th Annual Kosse Greyhound Run-Walk takes place on June 13, 2026 at Kosse City Park, 101 E. Adams, Kosse, TX. The event benefits projects of the Kosse Community Center, a 501(c)(3) charity, and the Kosse City Park.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K: chip-timed on a USTAF certified course on paved country roads.
- 1 Mile: untimed fun run.
Registration opens January 3, 2026 and closes May 24, 2026. Standard registration fees listed by the organizer are $28 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile. Race-day entry fees differ from advance registration and are accepted by cash or check only. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received through May 22, 2026; limited quantities are available after that date.
Age groups are: 10 & Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Awards include overall male and female winners and the top three male and female finishers in each age group, with no duplicate awards. Professional event management includes chip timing by Pro-Fit Race Timing. The 5K course runs through tree-lined paved country roads and pasture land.
