The Midnight Special 5K takes place on Wednesday December 31, 2025 into Thursday January 1, 2026 in Toledo, Ohio. The event is offered by the Toledo Roadrunners Club and includes in-person and virtual options.

Entry fees listed for the in-person 5K are approximately $40 with a $5 club discount for TRRC members. Virtual entry with shipping is listed at $55; virtual no-shipping is listed at $40. A price increase is scheduled after December 22, 2025. Online registration closes December 31, 2025. Guaranteed hoodie deadline is December 12, 2025.
Course and logistics
The in-person start location is Patron Saints Brewery, 4730 W Bancroft Street, Toledo, OH 43615. The course is an out-and-back along the University Parks Trail, running west toward Wildwood Metropark and returning via the same route. The route does not cross any roads; participants should be aware of vehicles in the brewery parking lot.
The course is not lit; small ground lights will mark direction. The race is chip timed. There will be no water stops on course; water and snacks will be provided at the finish. Overall awards are listed for Male and Female and for Masters Male and Female; there are no age group awards. The first registrants will receive a TRRC headlamp and the first finishers will receive a pint glass. Adult beverages will be available for purchase at Patron Saints; ID is required.
