Polar Bear 5K
The Polar Bear 5K is a winter 5K run and walk taking place in Washington Park, Denver on January 17, 2027. The event is part of the RunDenver Series and includes a short kids fun run for children 8 and under.
Participants receive event merchandise and race-day amenities. Included items and services listed for the event are a themed long sleeve shirt, a custom finisher medal, finish-line refreshments, and free photos that are posted with race results. A costumed mascot named Polie the Polar Bear is scheduled to appear. There is also an awards program and a costume contest.
Advance packet pickup is available the day before the event at Road Runner Sports in Lone Tree at 8457 S Yosemite St. Race day packet pickup is available near the start line at Washington Park. A course map is provided for the 5K route.
Awards are planned for top overall male, female, and nonbinary finishers, age-group awards for the top three male and female finishers across standard age divisions, and overall racewalk awards for verified finishers. Registered participants may have the option to switch to a virtual entry while retaining event merchandise.
