Podfather Stirling 10 km with 3.5 km and 2 km fun runs
Central Athletics Club hosts the 25th running of the Podfather Stirling event, which features a main 10 km road race plus two children's fun runs. The course passes notable landmarks and offers views of Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and the Ochil Hills.

The event uses chip timing with split information available at the halfway point. All finishers receive a goody bag and a choice between a race t-shirt or having a tree planted in their name. Race-day features include pacers (identifiable by flags), a piper on a scenic section, a cheer squad, music on course, instructor-led warm up, and free pre- and post-race massage at the start/finish area. Children's entertainment is provided with bouncy castles and face painting.
Entry details specify tiered fees for the 10 km and a flat fee for the fun runs, with 50p from each entry donated to Beatson Cancer Charity. Race numbers for the 10 km are posted in advance; fun-run numbers are available from the event information tent. Entries are non-transferable and non-refundable; an optional insurance add-on is available at sign-up for withdrawal protection. Only bone conducting headphones are permitted. Dogs and buggies are not allowed. Parking is provided at Forthbank Stadium and St Modan's High School with additional parking at Stirling Retail Park.
