Podfather Stirling 10k with 3.5k and 2k fun runs
The event on 06 Sep 2026 includes a main 10 km race and two children’s fun runs. The fun runs are for ages 5 to 9 (2 km) and ages 10 to 14 (3.5 km). The course passes Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and the Ochil Hills.
Features provided on race day include pacers for target times of 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 minutes, a piper near the Wallace Monument, cheerleading at 1.5 km and 8.5 km, music on course, and an instructor led warm up. A clock at halfway displays the 5 km split. Free pre and post race massage is available at the start and finish area. All finishers receive a goody bag and may choose between a race t shirt or having a tree planted in their name.
Prizes total over £2000 with cash awards for the top five male and female finishers and course record bonuses. Age group prizes cover U20 and several veteran categories. Perfect chip timing will be used and finishers can obtain a printout at the timing van; a text message with finishing time will be sent after crossing the line.
Entry fees: fun runs £6. Early 10 km fees for SA members and non members are listed, rising after the first 300 entries. Fifty pence from each entry is donated to Beatson Cancer Charity. Entries are non transferable and non refundable. Only bone conducting headphones are permitted. Dogs and buggies are not allowed.
Parking is available at Forthbank Stadium and St Modan's High School; Stirling Retail Park is an alternative and a park and ride is about 800 m from the start.
