About the race
Central AC stages the 25th Podfather Stirling 10k at The Peak, Stirling Sports Village. The event comprises a main 10 km road race and two children's fun runs on the same traditional course that passes Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and the Ochil Hills.

- 3.5 km fun run for ages 10 to 14
- 2 km fun run for ages 5 to 9
The course features visible 5 km split timing and pacers with identifiable flags for target finish times. On-course features include live music, a piper at a scenic section, cheerleaders, an instructor-led warm up, and a clock at half-way. Runners receive a goody bag and can choose between a race t-shirt or having a tree planted in their name; t-shirt sizing runs small. There is free pre- and post-race massage at the start/finish area and family activities such as bouncy castles and face painting.
Prize provision exceeds £2000 with prizes for the top five male and female finishers and age-group awards including U20, V40, V50, V60 and V70. Course record bonuses are noted.
Entry details include junior fun run fees at £6 and tiered 10 km fees with discounted rates for athletics association members. Fifty pence from each entry is donated to Beatson Cancer Charity. Race numbers for the 10 km are posted in advance; fun run numbers are collected on the day. Entries are non-transferrable and non-refundable and an insurance option is offered at sign up. Only bone conducting headphones are permitted on the partly open roads. Dogs and buggies are not allowed. Chip timing is used and results are posted by the timing provider with on-site printouts and an automatic text message of finishing time.
Parking is provided at Forthbank Stadium and St Modan's High School with additional parking at Stirling Retail Park and an 800 m park and ride. Electric vehicle charging points are available nearby.
