P.O. Hoban ’80 Memorial Run
The P.O. Hoban ’80 Memorial Run is scheduled for September 20, 2026, at Xaverian School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The event commemorates Police Officer Christopher Hoban ’80, who died in the line of duty in 1988 at age 26. A memorial scholarship fund was established by the Xaverian Police Alumni in his memory.
The run is supported by the Xaverian Police Alumni, the NYPD, and the local community. Proceeds serve as the primary funding source for the Hoban Scholarship, which provides tuition assistance to sons and daughters of New York City police officers who attend Xaverian.

- 5 Mile Run
- 5K
- Kids Dash
Both the 5 Mile and 5K start and finish at Xaverian School at 7100 Shore Road. The 5 Mile route runs along the harbor promenade to the Verrazano Bridge and returns along Third Avenue to Xaverian. The 5K follows a down-and-back course along the harbor promenade and returns to Xaverian. The event also includes a Tina Hoban 5K Run/Walk and a kids dash at the conclusion of the runs.
