PMASD Carabao 5K : October 4, 2026
The PMASD Carabao 5K is a community road race presented by the Philippine Medical Association of San Diego, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit of Filipino American physicians and advanced practice providers. The event takes place on October 4, 2026, with race activities centered at Bayfront Park and a course listed at J Street Marina in South Bay, San Diego, CA.
The course is a scenic, flat 5 km (3.11 mile) route with chip timed results and awards for top finishers. Registered participants receive a 2026 race tee, a collector’s finisher medal, and an event tote. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Roadrunner Sports in Chula Vista.
A post-race festival accompanies the run and features live entertainment, Filipino performers, music, dance, DJs, an emcee, and cultural demonstrations. The festival includes a marketplace with Filipino food, local businesses, and community organizations, as well as family-oriented activities and photo opportunities.
Health and wellness programming is part of the event, offering cardiovascular health education, health screenings, a wellness and recovery area, fitness activities, and yoga. Funds raised support health initiatives for San Diego and the Philippines, reflecting the organizer’s focus on heart disease prevention and community assistance in areas of severe need.
