Plymouth Rock n Run
The Plymouth Rock n Run takes place on Thanksgiving Day in Anaheim, California. The event is staged at the west end of Yorba Regional Park, near the softball fields. Participants navigate courses that include sections along La Palma Avenue and the Santa Ana River Trail. The 5k and 10k routes are USATF-certified and utilize chip timing to track race results.
The event offers several categories for different age groups:
- 10k Run/Walk: A timed race on a certified course.
- 5k Run/Walk: A timed race on a certified course.
- Kids Run: An 880-yard (1k) distance for children aged 12 and under. Parents are permitted to run with their children if they start at the back of the group.
- Tot Trot: A 100-yard distance for children aged 5 and under.
- Virtual 5/10k: A remote option where participants receive a shirt, medal, and bib by mail.
Participants in the 5k, 10k, and kids' events receive a custom diecast finisher medal. Adult unisex, women's, and youth-sized shirts are provided for 5k and 10k runners. The event recognizes top performers with awards for the first male and female finishers in the 5k and 10k, as well as medals for the top three runners in 18 different age categories based on chip time.
The venue features a finish-line festival including a costume contest, live music, and food. Parking is available inside Yorba Regional Park for a fee, with additional parking located in nearby residential areas and local lots. Access to the park via La Palma Avenue is restricted once the races begin. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
