Pleasant Prairie Triathlon with myTEAM TRIUMPH

The Pleasant Prairie Triathlon takes place at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex in Wisconsin. This multisport event features several race categories focused on athletic inclusion through the myTEAM TRIUMPH program. Participants join the event in specific roles designed to support individuals with disabilities.

The event structure is divided into Angels and Captains. Angels are able-bodied athletes who guide and assist their teammates during the course. Captains are the heart of the team and consist of individuals with any form of disability. Together, these participants navigate the triathlon course to reach the finish line.

Participants can choose from several distance formats:

  • Olympic Triathlon Angel
  • Olympic Triathlon Captain
  • Sprint Triathlon Angel
  • Sprint Triathlon Captain

The event utilizes the local landscape surrounding the RecPlex to host the swim, bike, and run portions. To document the experience, the organization provides a dedicated photo circle where athletes can upload new images or view photos from previous years dating back to 2023. This community-focused competition emphasizes teamwork and the shared experience of crossing the finish line together in a supportive environment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
