Event
The Pleasant Creek Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Palo, Iowa at Pleasant Creek Park (4530 McClintock Rd). The event is organized by the Eastern Iowa Trail Alliance, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit. Registration opens January 1, 2026 and online registration closes September 10, 2026; there is no day-of registration. Packet pickup is offered the evening before at Soko Outfitters and on race morning at the start/finish area. Timing services are provided by OnlineRaceResults. The race is part of the No Coast Trail Series.

Course and race rules
Races use Pleasant Creek’s outer equestrian loop, which is 15K in length. All distances run the loop in the same direction in 2026 and return to the start/finish to begin each subsequent loop. The course is primarily dirt and grass trails with small water crossings possible and includes rolling hills. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course. Parking is directed by volunteers to the Pleasant Creek Beach grass field; do not park on grass in other areas.
Awards, prizes and registration policies
Top male and female overall finishers in each distance receive awards. Age-group awards go to the top three male and female finishers in these groups: 29 & under, 30-45, and 46+. Top overall winners receive a cash payout plus free registration for the following year. Cash payouts listed: 45K $150, 30K $75, 15K $50; record bonuses apply. Shirts are available as an add-on for $15 with guaranteed sizes through September 1. No bib transfers or refunds. Distance changes are allowed before race day online; no changes after the race begins and dropped-down participants are not eligible for awards.
