The Pleasant Creek Trail Run is the 12th annual running hosted by the Eastern Iowa Trail Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event takes place at Pleasant Creek Park in Palo, Iowa on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Packet pickup is available the evening before at a local retail partner and on race morning at the start/finish area; there is no day-of registration.

The course uses Pleasant Creek’s outer loop equestrian trail. The loop measures 15K, and races consist of one or more loops completed clockwise in 2026. Runners return to the start area to begin subsequent loops. Surfaces are primarily dirt and grass with possible small water crossings and rolling hills. Strollers and pets are not permitted on the course.
Timing is provided by an external timing service and results are posted online during the day. Awards are given to the top overall male and female in each distance, with additional age-group awards for the top three male and female finishers in these groups: 29 and under, 30-45, and 46 and over; overall winners are not eligible for age-group awards. Cash prizes and event-record bonuses are offered for top finishers. No bib transfers or refunds are allowed; distance changes are permitted before race day but not once the race begins.
