Pleasant Creek Trail Run
The 12th annual Pleasant Creek Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026 in Palo, Iowa. The event is organized by the Eastern Iowa Trail Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and includes a post race cookout and beverages beginning around 10am.
Distances offered:
- 45K: three loops of the 15K outer equestrian trail
- 30K: two loops of the 15K outer equestrian trail
- 15K: one loop of the 15K outer equestrian trail
The course uses Pleasant Creek’s outer loop of the equestrian trail. All distances run clockwise and return to the start to begin each subsequent loop. Surfaces are primarily dirt and grass with small water crossings possible. The route includes rolling hills. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course.
Parking is to the Pleasant Creek Beach grass field; parking on other grass areas is prohibited. Timing services are provided by OnlineRaceResults and results will be posted on the timing website. Awards and cash prizes are offered to overall male and female winners and to top age group finishers in the groups 29 and under, 30 to 45, and 46 and over. Top overall finishers are not eligible for age group awards.
Online registration closes Thursday, September 10 at 5:00 PM. Packet pickup is available Friday, September 11 5:00–7:00 PM at Soko Outfitters and on race morning; there is no day of registration. Shirts are a $15 add on with guaranteed sizes through September 1. No bib transfers or refunds. Distance changes are allowed before race day online; once the race begins no changes are permitted.
