Platte River 5K - Royalton, MN
The Platte River 5K is the 20th annual run and walk held at Royalton Elementary School, 119 North Driftwood Street, Royalton, Minnesota. The event is sponsored by the Royalton High School Cross Country and Track and Field team and serves as the kickoff for Platte River Day hosted by the Royalton Lions Club.
The 5K race starts and finishes at the elementary school and follows a route through downtown Royalton along the Platte River. Event options include a child-specific fun run and a K9 walk and run for dogs and owners. Children who complete the 1K receive a prize. Dog owners must start at the back of the race pack and are responsible for cleaning up after their pets; each dog receives a treat at the finish.
To guarantee a 5K race T-shirt, registration must be completed before July 10, 2026. Listed registration pricing applies for the open registration period through July 24, 2026.
