Platte River 5K
The 20th annual Platte River 5K is sponsored by the Royalton High School Cross Country and Track and Field team and is part of Platte River Day hosted by the Royalton Lions Club. The event takes place in Royalton, Minnesota at Royalton Elementary School, 119 North Driftwood Street. The race starts and finishes at the elementary school and winds through downtown Royalton along the Platte River.
Distances and options
- 5K Run/Walk
- K-9 Run/Walk Owners and dogs start at the back; owners clean up after pets.
- Child's Fun 1K Free for children age 11 and under; finishers receive a prize.
Registration fees listed for applicable entries are $28.87 for the 5K and for the K-9 Run Walk; the Child's Fun 1K is free. To guarantee a 5K race T shirt, registration is required prior to Friday, July 10, 2026. Each dog registered for the K-9 Run Walk receives a treat at the finish.
