Platte River 5K
The 20th annual Platte River 5K takes place on July 25, 2026, at Royalton Elementary School, 119 North Driftwood Street, Royalton, MN, United States. The event is sponsored by the Royalton High School Cross Country and Track and Field team and opens activities for Platte River Day hosted by the Royalton Lions Club.
The course starts and finishes at Royalton Elementary School and winds through downtown Royalton along the Platte River.
Distances:
- 5K Run/Walk starting and finishing at Royalton Elementary School.
- K9 Walk Run for dogs and owners, dogs receive a finish line treat.
- Child's Fun 1K free for children age 11 and under.
Registration shows a fee of $28.87 for the 5K Run/Walk and for the K9 Walk Run. The Child's Fun 1K is free for children 11 and under. To guarantee a 5K race T shirt, registration is advised prior to Friday, July 10, 2026.
Event notes include that owners and dogs must begin at the back of the race pack and that dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. All children who complete the Child's Fun 1K will receive a prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
