Plasie Trail Run - Event details
The Plasie Trail Run takes place on 19 September 2026 at Merensky Landbou Akademie in Tzaneen, Limpopo. The event is part of the Merensky Agricultural Academy 90-Year Celebration Festival and is held on farm terrain normally closed to the public.

- 4.5 km
The route winds through avocado orchards and macadamia plantations and includes forest sections, flowing farm trails, dams, wetlands and wooden bridges. The 9 km route and the 4.5 km route both use a mix of farm trails and natural sections.
Water is provided along the routes: the 9 km course has water points at 3.7 km and 6 km, with water at the finish; the 4.5 km course has water points at 2.5 km and 3.8 km, with water at the finish.
Entry includes a finisher medal, a goodie bag, a lucky draw entry and access to the 90-Year Celebration Festival. Total prize money of R10,400 is allocated across the two races. Official event T-shirts are available for R160 and orders close on 10 September 2026. Race packs and goodie bag collection are scheduled for Friday 18 September 2026, 13:00 to 18:00 at Merensky Sports Centre, with a limited collection opportunity on race day at the venue.
