Hi-Tec Magoebas Ultra 2027
The Hi-Tec Magoebas Ultra is a multi-distance trail running event held in the Magoebaskloof area of Limpopo, South Africa, with venue activities at Krabbefontein near Tzaneen. The event weekend spans 20 to 22 March 2027 and takes place on forest and mountain single track through indigenous forest, grassland and reserve areas.
Available distances:
- 100 km with 3 800 m D+ and a 26 hour cut off
- 60 km with 2 600 m D+ and a 13 hour cut off
- 45 km with 2 300 m D+ and an 11 hour cut off
- 28 km with 1 400 m D+
- 10 km with 400 m D+
All races require in-person registration on Saturday 20 March. The 28 km entrants complete a prologue to determine seeding; those who do not run the prologue will be placed in the last starting batch. No qualification is required for entries and minimum age is 18 years for the listed distances.
The 100 km route starts in Haenertsburg village and finishes at Krabbefontein Cafe and traverses grassland, mountain terrain and indigenous forest. Several other races start and finish at Krabbefontein Cafe and use local trails including the SchultZ trails for the 10 km event.
Entry amendments and cancellations follow set deadlines with partial refunds available before specified dates; no substitutions and no general deferrals except a medical exception with documentation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
