Plainfield Salute the Troops events
The Plainfield Salute the Troops event takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026. It includes a Salute the Troops 5K Run, a Salute the Troops Color Fun Run, and a Salute the Troops Soldier Stroll. Registration opens on January 1, 2026 at 5:00am EST. Listed entry fees are $32.80 for the 5K, $16.90 for the Color Fun Run, and $11.60 for the Soldier Stroll. The event is hosted by Plainfield Recreation to honor and support military troops and veterans. Proceeds will be donated to the local VFW, American Legion, and Veteran's Coffeehouse.
Location and course
The event is based in Central Village, Connecticut, at 105 Putnam Rd (Plainfield High School). The route begins and ends at Plainfield High School and moves through the athletic fields, past Shepard Hill Elementary, and through a small neighborhood.
