Race Overview
The Pitstop Races take place at the Croft Racing Circuit located just outside of Darlington. This event utilizes the flat motor racing track to provide participants with a course designed for speed. Runners navigate the circuit by taking straight lines through the corners of the track.
The event offers three distinct distances to accommodate different age groups and preferences:
- 2 km junior run for children under 13 years old
- 5 km road race
- 10 km road race
The course layout for the main events involves one and a half laps of the circuit. The surface consists of the road and pavement typical of a professional racing track.
Event Details
All participants who complete their respective distances receive a race medal. Prizes are awarded following the event and are sent to the winners via post. The races are hosted by Darlington Harriers and supported by Up & Running.
The event has a maximum capacity of 1,000 entrants. Registration is open to participants starting from a minimum age of 6 years. The races take place on a Wednesday evening in July.
