Pirates Plunder is a beachside running event held on September 6, 2026, at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr., Long Beach, California. The event offers multiple distances to run or walk.

Courses are out-and-back and stay entirely on the pedestrian side of the beach path. The event course is not closed to other users, so runners share the path with walkers and others. Turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station, plus a finish aid station with water, electrolytes, and snacks. A first aid kit is available at each station and crew members have received CPR training. All finishers receive a race medal; overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance.
Logistics notes: parking in the event lot is charged at $2 per hour and street parking is free. Gear check is available at the registration tent; participants must provide their own bag.
