35th Annual Pirate XC Time Trial
The Pirate XC Time Trial is a three-mile time trial held on the track at PHS Stadium in Polson, Montana on 08/20/2026. The event is organized as a cross-country style dual score competition that pairs the local community, middle school runners, coaches, and alumni against the Polson Pirates.
The time trial serves multiple purposes: it acts as a fundraiser for the Polson Pirate XC Team and is used to help select the varsity team for the season. In accordance with MHSA rules this event is classified as a friendly time trial and not an interscholastic competition; therefore high school students enrolled at schools other than Polson are not permitted to compete.
Distances and entry fee:
- 3 miles - male time trial
- 3 miles - female time trial
Entry for each listed event carries a registration fee of $20.00. Spectators from the community may attend to support the team, and the event accepts donations to benefit the Polson Pirate XC program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
