Sorry 'Bout That Half Marathon and Team Relay
The event takes place on January 16, 2027 at the Mission Valley Aquatic Center on Ridgewater Drive in Polson, Montana. It is the 14th running of the Sorry 'Bout That Half Marathon and includes a separate team relay option.
The main race is a clockwise loop of 13.1 Miles. The course begins and ends at the aquatic center and follows a bike path, Reservoir Road, Back Road which becomes Kerr Dam, then 7th Avenue through town before returning via a bike path. The route features an uphill start and uphill finish with a significant downhill in the middle miles. Most turns are to the right; there is one left or non-right turn on the course. Two aid stations and one portajohn are located on the course.
A three person team relay is offered; teams ideally consist of three people but two-person or larger teams are allowed. Relay exchanges are planned to occur at aid stations when possible. Teams must arrange their own transportation to and from exchange points; no transportation is provided. Teams that use alternative team sizes will not be considered for relay prizes.
Packet pickup is same-day only. Finisher medals are provided free to those who enter and finish the race; entrants who do not run will not receive a medal. T shirt option was turned off on 12/29/2026. Parking is in the gravel soccer field lot behind the pool; there is no parking at the aquatic center.
