Pioneer Mountains Adventure
The Pioneer Crossings Relay is a multi-day team event taking place in Southwestern Montana. Participants navigate a course that spans 175 miles through the Pioneer Mountains, starting in Twin Bridges and concluding in Virginia City. The route is divided into 36 legs, taking runners through a landscape of mountains and vistas.
Participants can choose from three distinct registration categories depending on team size and intent:
- Standard: Teams of 12 people.
- Ultra: Teams of 6 people.
- Wildcard: A "just for fun" category.
The event is open to participants aged 12 and older. Registration includes tiered pricing for youth (ages 12-18) and adults (ages 19 and older). The relay format involves team members alternating through the various segments of the course, providing opportunities for group support and cooperation throughout the wilderness journey.
