20th Annual Pink Ribbon Run
The 20th Annual Pink Ribbon Run in Cedar Falls is a fundraising event supporting people facing breast cancer-related expenses. The event offers both an in-person 5K on October 3 and a virtual 5K that can be completed between October 3 and October 10. Breast cancer survivors receive free registration through the event's Warrior Sponsors, which include Oakridge Real Estate, Community Auto Group, Gilead, UnityPoint Health, and Bambinos.
Registration opens August 1. The published registration fees are $35 through September 15 and $40 after September 15. Registrations completed by September 16 are guaranteed a T-shirt, a team gathering sign for teams of 15 or more, and a printed tribute sign for the race.
Packet pick-up is at the Community Main Street Office, 310 E. 4th Street, Cedar Falls, on the Friday and Saturday before the in-person race. With the exception of packet pick-up and the location of porta-potties, all race day activities take place at River Place Plaza. The race day program includes a survivor photo, a survivor story, pre-race announcements, the race start, and post-race awards and team prizes.
For participant safety, dogs, roller blades, scooters, and bikes are not permitted on the race route. Strollers and wagons are allowed to assist younger participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
