Pink Lights the Way Cupcake Walk
The Pink Lights the Way Cupcake Walk is a community fundraising walk held at 717 Credit Union Field in Niles. The fourth annual event includes food, games, basket raffles, bounce houses, and other family activities, with opportunities for attendees of different ages to participate.
Pink Lights the Way partners with women during breast cancer treatment. The organization provides care packages, the mentorship of a breast cancer survivor, meals, and activity boxes for children. It is based in Howland and supports women across Northeast Ohio. The 2023 inaugural Cupcake Walk raised over $40,000 to fund customized care packages that have included mastectomy support pillows, head scarves, and other hand selected items for treatment support. Funds raised at this event will continue to support patients and their families during treatment.
Registration options include an adult Cupcake Walk of one mile listed as walking only, a kids category for ages 3 to 12, a free category for children 2 and under, and a donation only supporter option. Published registration fees are $20 for the main Cupcake Walk, $15 for the kids 3 to 12 category, and no fee for the 2 and under and donation only options.
Packet pick up is scheduled at Second Sole in Boardman on October 3 and packets may also be picked up on the day of the event at 717 Credit Union Field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
