Pine Woods 5K, Duxbury
The Pine Woods 5K is an annual road race based at Pine Woods Animal Hospital in Duxbury, located at 612 Congress Street. The event uses the hospital as the start area and lists The Sun Tavern, 500 Congress Street, as the designated race day parking area, about 1/3 mile from the registration area.
Online registration for the 2025 race is noted as closed. Published entry fees for 2025 were: adults (21+) $30 through June 7 and $35 on race day; ages 11–20 $25 through June 7 and $30 on race day; ages 10 and under $20 through June 7 and $25 on race day. The shirt order deadline is given as the end of day Wednesday, May 21.
Race day procedures include bib pickup at Pine Woods Animal Hospital and a reminder that walkers are welcome. Running strollers are asked to start at the back of the field. Dogs are not allowed.
Awards are listed for overall 1st through 3rd male and female, plus 1st place male and female in age groups: 10 & under, 11–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+. The 2025 event is stated to support Massachusetts Vest A Dog, a volunteer nonprofit that provides vests, equipment, training funding, and dogs for Massachusetts police and law enforcement K-9 programs.
