Pine Island Ribbon Run/Walk

The 21st annual Pine Island Ribbon Run/Walk takes place Saturday, June 6, 2026 in Pine Island, Minnesota. The event centers on a 5K run/walk that starts at Pine Island Public School (grades 5–12), located at 223 1st Avenue Southeast, #7518.

The primarily flat 5K course begins at the high school, follows the Douglas Trail, and finishes near downtown Pine Island. The route covers approximately 3.1 miles and passes through town and trail sections.

A new Survivor and Memorial Walk of about half mile accompanies the main event. Stories and memorials line the walk; it is open to everyone and can be walked at any time during the event period.

The Ribbon Run/Walk is scheduled annually on the first Saturday in June and is presented as a community event focused on cancer awareness and remembrance.
