Pinawa Multisport Weekend
Pinawa Multisport takes place in Pinawa, Manitoba, and is presented by Canaqua Sports. The event spans a Saturday and Sunday and offers multisport races for participants ages 5 and up, including open water swimming, triathlons, aqua bike, and youth races.
- 3.0 km Open Water Swim
- Free Spirit Triathlon Olympic: 1.2 km swim, 35 km bike, 10 km run
- Free Spirit Triathlon Sprint: 800 m swim, 16 km bike, 5 km run
- Tri a Tri: 5 km bike, 2 km run (youth format)
- Aqua Bike: 1.5 km swim, 35 km bike
- Wonder Kids Triathlon for ages 5-10 with child chosen distances
The open water swim includes individual kayaker support and starts that vary with conditions. The Wonder Kids Triathlon lists beach start swim options (shallow or deeper laps to a dive platform), 1 km or 2 km bike loops, and a 1 km run or walk; the kids race has free registration and a limited number of entries. A beginner practice session is offered for new swimmers.
