Pinawa Multisport Weekend
Pinawa Multisport Weekend takes place in Pinawa, Manitoba on August 8 and 9, 2026. The event is presented by Canaqua Sports and includes open-water swims and multiple triathlon formats held over two days.
Distances and formats offered
- Open Water Swim: 3.0 km
- Free Spirit Triathlon Olympic: 1.2 km swim, 35 km bike, 10 km run
- Free Spirit Triathlon Sprint: 750 m swim, 16 km bike, 5 km run
- Tri a Triathlon: 100 m swim, 5 km bike, 2 km run
- Aqua Bike: 1,500 m swim, 35 km bike
- Wonder Kids Triathlon: short distances for ages 5 to 10
The Wonder Kids Triathlon is aimed at children aged 5 to 10 and has free registration for that race. Children select a personal distance, swim starts are from the beach, and finishers receive an individual skills medal. Parent or adult supervision is required and entries are limited.
For the Open Water Swim, each swimmer is assigned an individual kayaker and start waves may be adjusted according to conditions. A free practice session for beginners is provided. Some events accept younger participants at the minimum ages indicated for each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
