Groovy Granite is a trail running event held in the scenic Lee River region of Manitoba, on Treaty 1 territory. The race offers three distance options: 7 km, 14 km, and 21 km, featuring fast-flowing trails with technical sections and challenging climbs along the rim of a granite batholith. Participants enjoy views of the Lee River, Boreal Forest, and Canadian Shield.
The course is a loop with an aid station at the start/finish line, stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks. The event emphasizes community, Indigenous accessibility, and sustainability with a cupless race policy. Post-race BBQ and finisher prizes add to the experience.
