Groovy Granite - Lee River, MB
Groovy Granite is a trail running event held on June 14, 2026 in Lee River, Manitoba. The race uses a looped course on the historic grounds of the AECL Underground Research Laboratory, running along the rim of a large granite batholith with views of the Lee River, the Boreal Forest, and exposed ancient rock.

Logistics and safety: an aid station at the start/finish provides water, electrolytes, Sunrype bars, fruit, chips, and pickles. The event is cupless; participants must provide a reusable cup or hydration pack. Drop bags are available for 14 km and 21 km participants. St. John Ambulance will be on site and the Race Director may remove participants for safety reasons.
Additional details: all finishers receive custom medals and top finishers receive awards. Professional course photos are provided free of charge. A BBQ voucher is included with registration. Participants may earn MATR points toward prizes via the UT of MB. Supported entries are offered for Indigenous runners.
