PILSC Legacy Run/Walk - 5th annual
The 5th annual PILSC Legacy Run/Walk takes place on Saturday June 27, 2026 and is presented by The Scott Smed Foundation. This annual, family inclusive event brings the community together around the impacts of infertility and pregnancy and infant loss.
The run and walk raises awareness about infertility, miscarriage, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), stillbirth, neonatal loss, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). It raises funds to provide no cost support and community services through the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre (PILSC).
In 2025 the event raised over $135,000 and the 2026 goal is $150,000. Contributions are allocated to specific services: $85 for one coaching session, $125 for the peer helpline, $200 to sponsor a support group, and $300 to connect someone with a peer mentor for three months.
PILSC states that its services aim to be accessible regardless of financial situation, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, faith, or background. The event includes on site features such as a kids zone, food and beverage options, and entertainment with an emcee and DJ. PILSC is a registered charity that supports families through the complex journey of infertility, pregnancy loss, or infant loss. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
