Pilgrim 6
Pilgrim 6 is an off-road endurance event on Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons held on 31 October 2026. The route covers 32 km with approximately 1800 m of ascent and includes three separate ascents of the summit, using six different paths so no route is repeated.
Two entry categories are offered: a Classic Fell Race (unweighted) and a Weighted category where participants carry a 16 kg pack that is weighed at registration and may include water and food. Navigation is unmarked; a GPX file and map will be issued before the event and competitors are responsible for their own navigation. Checkpoints (CPs) will be staffed by safety marshals and participants must make themselves known at each CP so organisers can confirm completion of the three ascents.
Additional notes in the event information state that cutoffs will be set and may affect the weighted category, that competitors should be adequately trained and equipped, and that no dogs are permitted. T-shirts are available to purchase at registration and a base camp is provided for changing clothes at the finish. The organisers describe the route as requiring a high level of fitness and preparation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
