Event Overview
The Pilgrim 6 is an endurance event held at Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons. This mountain race covers a distance of 32 km with a total elevation gain of 1800 m. Participants must complete three separate ascents of the summit using six different paths, ensuring that no single route is used more than once during the course.
The event is held on Saturday 31st October 2026. Participants must be 16 years of age or older on the day of the event. The route follows main trails and paths but is not marked with physical signage; therefore, participants are responsible for their own navigation between designated checkpoints. GPS devices are permitted, and a GPX file is provided by the organizers prior to the event. Safety marshals are stationed at all checkpoints to record participant progress.
Participation Categories
There are two distinct categories available for participants:
- Classic Trail Run - An unweighted fell race focused on speed and navigation.
- Weighted Category - Participants carry a 16 kg bergan or day sack.
For the weighted category, the pack is weighed at registration and must include the participant's water and food.
