Pilgrim 6 - Pen y Fan

Pilgrim 6 is an off-road endurance event at Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons on 31 October 2026. The advertised course covers 32km with approximately 1800 m of ascent and includes three ascents of Pen y Fan using six different routes, with no route repeated.

The event offers two entry categories: Classic Fell Race and a Weighted Category in which participants carry a 16kg pack. The pack is weighed at the start and the weight may include food and water. Age limits are 18 to 60 years. The stated entry fee is £20. Entries open 30 January 2026 and close 25 October 2026. Entry requires a SiEntries account (login or register).

Navigation is the responsibility of participants. A GPX file will be released before the event; the route will not be marked. Safety marshals will be positioned at control points and participants must report to each control point. The course notes instruct adherence to main trails and paths. Checkpoints listed include Pen y Fan Summit, Cribyn Summit and a water station at Story Arms. The start and finish are listed as the Pilgrim 6 Start/Finish Point (grid ref SO 02179 24547).
