About the race
The Pikeman Triathlon in Rosslare is a standard distance triathlon held under Triathlon Ireland rules with technical officials on site. The race comprises a sea swim supported by kayaks and boats, a 40 km bike on open roads with safety zones, and a two‑lap 10 km run. Distances are provided as part of the published route:
- 1,500 m swim
- 40 km cycle
- 10 km run
Race services include professional chip timing, a bespoke swim cap, a unique finisher’s medal, post-race refreshments, and a bag drop at the registration tent. Transition is athlete only, with numbered bike racking and on-site mechanical checks; participants must present photo ID when collecting race packs. Parking is in a designated field about 1.3 km from registration and transition; marshals will guide vehicles and parking opens early on race day. Water is provided at running route stations in cups; participants are advised to carry a bike water bottle. Cut-off times are measured from each swimmer’s start and include a 60 minute swim cut-off, a 2 hour 45 minute bike cut-off, and a 3 hour 30 minute cut-off for the second run lap. Minimum age is 18.
