Entry categories and relay teams
Relay teams are permitted, with awards for top male, female or coed teams. A High School Only sprint triathlon is offered for ages 13-19; registration for that event ends May 30, 2026. The open water swim has a listed entry price and a scheduled price increase after February 1, 2026.
Race format and timing
Start procedure uses waves for elite athletes and teams, and a Time-Trial swim start for other competitors. In the Time-Trial format athletes line up by age-group wave and start individually at three-second intervals by crossing the timing mat on the beach. The event is chip timed.
