Pigman Triathlon
The Pigman Triathlon takes place at Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area in Palo, Iowa. This multisport event offers several race formats including sprint and Olympic distances, as well as a duathlon. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and utilizes chip timing to ensure accurate results for all participants.
Participants can choose from the following distances:

- Olympic Triathlon: Includes a 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bike ride, and a 10 km run.

The race is part of the Heart of America Triathlon Series, a collection of multisport events across the Midwest. Competitors in the series earn points for their participation in each race, with series winners receiving entry into the following year's events. The swim portions of the triathlon take place at the beach area of the Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area.
