Pie Pursuit 5K
Pie Pursuit 5K is scheduled for 11/21/2026 in Shafter, California at 700 E. Tulare Ave. The event is organized by the 746 Sports Foundation and presented as a community fundraiser. It is identified as the second annual Pie Pursuit 5K.
The event distance is 5K and official timed results are available for participants who wish to track their pace. Costumes are encouraged, with prizes for best individual and group costumes, prizes for fastest finishers, and awards for most pie-covered runners.
Designated pie toss zones along the route allow participants to toss soft, whipped cream pies; participation in pie toss zones is optional. All pie materials are non-toxic and safe for skin, and pie zones will be monitored by volunteers.
The event is described as family friendly. Strollers, walkers, and runners of all experience levels are welcome. Registration opens 9/14/2026 and closes 10/31/2026; the registration fee is $50.00. Early registration includes a commemorative Pie Pursuit t-shirt, race bib, and finisher medal.
A post-race celebration will feature music, snacks, games, and a photo booth. One hundred percent of funds raised will support youth scholarships, free sports events, and community programming in Shafter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
