Pie Pursuit
Pie Pursuit is a community 5K held in Shafter, California on November 21, 2026. The course features designated pie toss zones where participants may toss soft whipped cream pies; participation in pie zones is optional and zones are monitored by volunteers. All pie materials are non-toxic and safe for skin.
The event invites costumes and awards prizes for best individual and group costumes, as well as prizes for fastest finishers and for the most pie-covered runners. Official timed results are available. The event is family friendly and welcomes strollers, walkers, and runners of all ages.
Registration opens on September 14, 2026 and closes on October 31, 2026; the registration fee is $50. Early registrants receive a commemorative Pie Pursuit t-shirt, race bib, and finisher medal. A post-race celebration includes music, snacks, games, and a photo booth.
