Pickwick Dam Tri at Pickwick Landing State Park
The Pickwick Dam Tri is a 39 mile multisport event on November 14, 2026, held at Pickwick Landing State Park in Counce, Tennessee. The course combines cycling, paddling, and running across park roads, lakewater, and trails.
Distances and components:
- 30 mile bike on paved roads
- 3 mile kayak on flat water loop
- 6 mile run on mixed surface trails and paths
The bike leg departs from Circle Beach and follows a paved route that passes landmarks near Shiloh National Military Park before returning to the park. The paddle is a clearly marked loop around buoys and pontoons on Pickwick Lake. The run is a loop through park paths, grassy sections, and wooded trail before returning to Circle Beach and the finish area.
Cutoff rules are enforced: the bike and paddle sections must be completed within six hours of the race start, and the full course must be completed within eight hours of the race start. Two registration options are offered: bring your own kayak ($125) or use a park provided kayak ($150). Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026.
Packet pickup is available at the park office on November 12–13 and at Shelter 4 on November 14. Participants receive a race shirt, finisher award, post race food and drinks, and awards for the top three overall male and female athletes. Aid stations are placed along the bike route, at Circle Beach, and near the run trailhead. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
