Pickwick Dam Tri
Pickwick Dam Tri is a 39-mile triathlon held at Pickwick Landing State Park in Counce, Tennessee on November 14, 2026. This is presented as the first annual Dam Tri and combines cycling, paddling, and running on a single loop course that returns to Circle Beach for transitions and the finish.
The course covers:
- 30-mile bike on paved roads
- 3-mile paddle on flat water
- 6-mile run on mixed surfaces, including paved paths, grassy stretches, and wooded trails
The bike follows a scenic paved route that passes near Shiloh National Military Park before returning to the park. The paddle is a clearly marked loop around buoys and pontoons on Pickwick Lake. During the run participants follow a mixed-surface loop inside Pickwick Landing State Park back to Circle Beach.
There are two registration options: bring your own kayak (BYOK) or use a park-provided kayak. Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026; fees listed are $125 for BYOK and $150 for a park-provided kayak. Packet pickup is available early at the park office, 116 State Park Lane, Counce, TN on November 12–13 and on race day at Shelter 4, 80 Mermaid Lane, Counce, TN.
Participants receive a 2026 race shirt, a finisher award, post-race food and drinks, and awards for the top three overall male and female athletes. Aid stations are placed along the bike route, at Circle Beach, and near the run trailhead. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
