Pickwick Dam Tri - Pickwick Landing State Park
The Pickwick Dam Tri is a 39-mile triathlon held on November 14, 2026 at Pickwick Landing State Park in Counce, Tennessee. The course combines road cycling, flat-water paddling, and a mixed-surface run that begin and end at Circle Beach.
Course distances:
- 30-mile bike on paved roads
- 3-mile paddle on flat water
- 6-mile run on mixed surfaces
The bike route follows paved roads toward Shiloh National Military Park and returns to Pickwick Landing State Park. The paddle is a clearly marked, taco-shaped loop around buoys and pontoons on Pickwick Lake. The run is a loop through park paths that includes paved sections, grassy stretches, and wooded trails back to Circle Beach.
Two registration options are available with different kayak arrangements and fees: a bring-your-own-kayak option and a park-provided kayak option. Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026.
Cutoff rules require completion of the bike and paddle sections within six hours and the full course within eight hours. Aid stations are located along the bike route, at Circle Beach, and near the run trailhead. Packet pickup is scheduled at the park office on November 12–13 and at Shelter 4 on November 14. Participants receive a 2026 race shirt, a finisher award, post-race food and drinks, and awards for the top three overall male and female athletes. A post-race celebration will take place at Shelters 4 and 5. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
