About the race
The Pickerington Oktoberfest Beer Mile is part of the Pickerington Oktoberfest held at Combustion Brewery & Taproom in Pickerington, Ohio. The running program includes multiple individual heats of the Beer Mile and a separate four-person relay team category.
The Beer Mile format uses a 1/4 mile looped course. Participants consume one beer before each lap and run the quarter mile four times, for a total of 1 mile. The beer provided for the event is Pilot Light, a light lager; a gluten-free alternative offered for 2026 is Blackberry Crusher Cider. Results are posted by heat and for overall finishers.
Registration for the individual heats opens on April 4, 2026 and closes on September 7, 2026; the relay team registration opens April 4, 2026 and closes September 9, 2026. Entry fees listed for 2026 are $47.00 for individual Beer Mile entries and $120.00 for a four-person relay team. To receive an event shirt, registration must be completed by Thursday, August 27, 2026; registrations after that date are not eligible for the event shirt option.
